London-born singer songwriter John Faulkner grew up with the sounds of the Rock Revolution, then looked to the roots,
discovering the great blues and folk musicians. During the English Folk Revival of the 1960s, he met with singer/songwriter/folklorist Ewan McColl and his wife Peggy Seeger, who in turn introduced John to the world of British and Irish folk music.

Kris, this is a fantastic record. I don’t normally get as excited over best of’s, but this is so well done. New versions of already excellent songs, bringing new perspectives and some excellent new songs to boot. I highly recommend it; anyone that’s thinking “naw it’s just a mash-up of existing songs”, it’s definitely not - buy it, you won’t regret it.
